Join us for a one-of-a-kind event bringing together AI researchers and London’s language communities to ask:
"Can We Shape AI With Deliberative Societies?"
This workshop explores how communities and AI can collaboratively shape inclusive futures through participatory design, ethnography and deliberative spaces. Through dialogue, talks, and co-creative practices grounded in ethnographic insight, we’ll explore how technology can better reflect what matters to people—particularly in cities facing deep social challenges.and more is held as part of London Data Week. This workshop session expands into a Community of practice for Ethnography, Deliberation, and AI (CODE AI) with a focus on inclusivity, multicultural awareness, and participatory AI design.

Schedule
10:00–10:10 AM: Opening remarks and workshop goals (organizers).
10:10–11:00 AM: Invited talks (3 speakers, 15 minutes each, 5 minutes Q&A). Sessions (Ethnography, Deliberative and Agentic society).
11:00 AM–12:00 PM: Panel discussion on public voices in AI, featuring Reema Patel, Shannon Hong, Flynn Devine.
12:00–1:00 PM: Lunch break.
1:00–2:20: Contributed talks (3 speakers, 15 minutes each, 5 minutes Q&A).
2:20–2:30 PM: Coffee break.
2:30–3:20 PM: Breakout sessions (Public Values, Views, Voices) for collaborative brainstorming, using deliberAIde, Council and Talk to the City.
3:20–4:00 PM: Closing remarks and presentation of the living document via deliberAIde and Talk to the City.
