About Event

In the age of accelerating technological change, the dynamics of the job market are being radically transformed. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is at the forefront of this evolution, altering not just how we work but also how we think about work itself. Innovation Algebra is proud to present a carefully curated session aimed at unpacking the complexities and opportunities AI brings to careers and the job market.

Our Guest Speakers

This event features two guest speakers, Vidal Graupera and Natalia Bielczyk, each an expert in their respective domains, and concludes with an open discussion session that will run until 'the last man standing.'

Get ready for our trademark deep and insightful conversations. To sweeten the FOMO, here are the initial thoughts from our speakers.

The AI Revolution in Job Search: Tools and Technologies Transforming How We Find Work By Vidal Graupera

AI is transforming the job search and hiring process. Vidal will survey the latest AI technologies changing how people find work and how employers source talent. Whether you're a job seeker looking to leverage these innovations or an employer seeking an edge in talent acquisition, this overview will provide key insights and practical takeaways.

Are We Heading for the Stars? Or, Are We Doomed? By Dr Natalia Bielczyk

The sentiment around AI is mixed in the society and among tech experts. Even the biggest minds of the Silicon Valley cannot reach consensus on whether AI is the biggest opportunity in the history of mankind, or rather, it will bring us to our demise.

Mo Gawdat and Eliezer Yudkowsky seem to be mortified by AI and point to the existential risk AI-powered machines are about to bring us. Sam Altman and Elon Musk are lukewarm and underscore that AI can safely lead to progress only under human supervision and in presence of strict regulations. On the other hand, Mark Zuckerberg and Mark Andreessen seem to be ecstatic at the vision of AI working hand in hand with humans, and plan to milk the opportunity in any possible way. But hey, at least some of these gentlemen must be wrong!

Indeed, we are at a point of singularity where another species starts surpassing us in many of cognitive skills traditionally seen as uniquely human.

So, what's the future and is it even possible to make an educated guess? And most importantly, can we find Pascal's wager?

In other words, is there any strategy to better our chances in the job market that will benefit us regardless of which scenario pans out?

Is Universal Basic Income a utopia, or, is it inevitable?

In this talk, we will discuss the more and less probable scenarios for the development of the job market in the next 10-15 years.

Natalia will talk about the possible future from the perspective of a computational neuroscientist who spent 8 years researching brain networks and 6+ years on researching the job market.
