About Event

Join us to celebrate Pride Month over coffee and special edition cupcakes while learning about the resilience and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community! We will have a short trivia on LGBTQIA+ representation in STEM disciplines and book prizes!

Pride Month is celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. Pride month is also an opportunity to celebrate as well as raise awareness of current issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community.

Don't forget to read Why discuss sexuality and gender in the geosciences? by Elenita Nicholas to learn from the stories and perspectives of our Stanford community members.

The event is open to all the Stanford community, but the SDSS community members attending this Coffee Convo will earn E-digital DEI stickers!
