Event Description
Overview
The Whole Child Orientation is a three-day conference designed to deepen participants’ understanding of what it means to support the whole child through the specific strategies of the Whole Child Model.
Day 1 will introduce educators to the foundations of brain development, the science of learning, and trauma-informed practices, as well as grounding in the essential practice of adult well-being.
Day 2 will build educators’ understanding of universal supports for all students, called CARE practices, in the Whole Child Model.
Day 3 will develop participants’ understanding of Tier 2 and 3 strategies, called Boost, for students who need extra support.
Across all three days, participants will engage in interactive sessions, explore evidence-based strategies for creating belonging-centered environments, see the model in action, and network with other educators committed to supporting the whole child. Attendees will learn concrete strategies to implement in their schools and classrooms, and receive practical resources to support them in doing so.

Payment & Registration
In 2024, the Whole Child team is excited to offer our Orientation to participants from outside of our partner networks for the first time. We have endeavored to price registration competitively given our costs to deliver this orientation and considering the cost of attending similar conferences in the field.
Your registration fee includes your ticket, breakfast, lunch, snacks, beverages, and all materials and supplies during the conference. Transportation, parking, and hotel accommodations are not included, nor will they be reimbursed.
For each individual participant, the cost for the full three-day Orientation is $1000.
If you are registering as a participant from a Whole Child partner school, please enter your coupon code for your discounted rate.

Refund, Cancellation, and Transfer Policy
All of our conference fees are non-refundable.
You can transfer your registration to a different participant. Their name and email address must be emailed to wholechild@transcendeducation.org by 5pm Eastern time on October 4, 2024.
If Transcend needs to cancel the orientation due to unforeseen circumstances, then we will do our best to reschedule the conference for a later date. If you are unable to attend at the rescheduled date, or if Transcend is not able to reschedule the orientation, then you will have the option to be fully refunded, or convert your registration fees to a donation to support Transcend’s ongoing work to create and spread extraordinary, equitable learning environments.
Media Release Policy
I grant permission for Transcend Inc. I give permission for Transcend to copy, edit, or otherwise alter any such media and to publicly display, transmit, perform, publish, and otherwise exploit any such media, including any edits thereto, for any purpose associated with Transcend, its partners, or its customers, and waive any right for approval or inspection prior to release. The foregoing grants and permissions are perpetual and irrevocable. I understand that the media may include personally identifiable information about me. I hereby irrevocably and unconditionally release Transcend and its partners and customers and their contractors, their employees, and any third parties involved in the creation or publication of materials from all claims, demands, and liabilities whatsoever in connection with the above. Transcend shall have the exclusive right, title, and interest, including copyright, in all materials referenced above.
