About Event

LET’S MAKE BAD ART!!! but make it gay.

join us at Parklife for a night of playful, pressure-free art-making with silly prompts, accessible materials, and an invitation to express your gay, lovely, brilliant self - exactly as you are!

what’s included:

⭐️ a welcoming, judgment-free queer environment to explore your creativity
⭐️ all materials: prompts, paper, art supplies, and maybe a surprise rainbow or two
⭐️ low-stakes warmups to get you in the creative groove
⭐️ a chance to proudly share your best/worst pieces with the group

you don’t have to be “good” at art to belong here!!!!

This night is about creative permission:
🔸 permission to be messy
🔸 permission to be weird
🔸 permission to be your full, gay, expressive, unapologetic self

we’ll begin with low stakes visual warm ups to attune to the creative frequency, and then everyone will have the chance to create as much art as they can. (!) At the end of the night, we will display our “bad” art proudly and celebrate the beauty that comes from self expression, no matter what the end product looks like!!!

all identities, expressions, and experience levels are welcome.
Bring a friend, your favorite glitter pen, or just your magical self. Bad Art Night: Pride Edition is a celebration of queer joy, creative freedom, and making weird stuff together in community. you are welcome here!!!!

LET’S MAKE BAD ART!!!

about your host: Hi, I'm Sydney, a queer cutie living in Brooklyn, NY! I love a diy project and making art with friends. When I'm not crafting I'm searching for the best gluten free pizza in the city and playing sports. I'm creating a daily art practice and love being an art gurl teacher and being inspired by this community!

refund policy: art gurl events are nonrefundable — thank you for understanding and honoring the energy, care, and materials that go into creating these experiences.

if you can no longer attend, you're welcome to gift your ticket to a friend — just send us an email at heygurl@artgurl.org with their name and email!

by purchasing a ticket, you're supporting our mission to make art a tool for self-discovery, connection, and creative wellness. thank you for being here!!

We can’t wait to create with you!
