Hobbyists, amateurs, dilettantes, lifelong learners —
Hello!! We (@dubroy and @warianoguerra) are organizing a new meetup in Munich. If you like messing around with computers, and vibe with the list of things below, then it might be for you!
Programming languages, environments, and systems.
Databases.
Operating systems.
Virtual machines (both kinds).
Network protocols.
Breaking down the boundaries between any/all of the above.
{Handmade, Lo-fi, freewheeling, home-cooked} software.
Speakers:
Thorsten Ball: "Writing Tucan, an optimizing compiler in Rust"
Tomás Senart: "The 1975 algorithm that beats modern sorting"
Mariano Guerra: "Naming in space and time"
Patrick Dubroy: "Massively parallel bytecode interpreters on the GPU"
We still have space for two short demos or lightning talks. If you're interested please get in touch!
Big thanks to the TUM.ai crew, who are providing the venue (near Ostbahnhof).
