Movie Night: "Carving the Divine"
On Friday, August 30th, from 6:30-8:00 PM, the Tallahassee Chan Center will host a special movie night featuring "Carving the Divine." This 98-minute documentary, directed by Yujiro Seki, offers an intimate look into the world of Busshi, Japanese Buddhist sculptors, who dedicate their lives to creating sacred statues. The film captures the meticulous artistry and spiritual devotion of these sculptors, revealing the profound cultural and religious significance of their work. Following the screening, we will engage in a discussion to share insights and reflections on the film. Join us for an evening of cultural exploration and meaningful conversation.
