Nashwa

​Nashwa is the name of a new event in Los Angeles that aims to; 1) Uplift queer and/or trans MENA/SWANA, and BIPOC artists, 2) Celebrate our collective resistance to fascism through various forms of artistic expression, and 3) Donate to DJs Against Apartheid’s chosen fundraiser for the month of August. Nashwa is a formal Arabic word that means pleasure, which is my personal favorite flavor of activism.
