What is JAM?
JAM, the Join-Accumulate Machine, is an innovative open-source blockchain protocol pioneered by Dr. Gavin Wood, the architect behind two of the most technically advanced blockchain projects, Ethereum and Polkadot. This technology reshapes the current blockchain landscape, marking a major turning point for the Web3 space.
JAM enables the execution of general-purpose computer code on top of blockchain infrastructure, removing the blockchain-specific coding constraints but maintaining all the features of the existing infrastructure. JAM shifts the blockchain paradigm to become a platform that can host any type of Web3 application.
Learn more and contribute to JAM on JAM-Portal and Official JAM-Gray Paper website.

Why JAM Toaster is special?
The JAM Toaster is housed at the Polkadot Palace in Cascais, Portugal. the JAM Toaster is a state-of-the-art, high-density computing cluster built to simulate the JAM protocol at production scale, before it goes live on mainnet.
Think of it as a wind tunnel for blockchain protocols.
The JAM Toaster enables teams to fine-tune performance, composability, and security of JAM in a real-world lab setting. It’s blockchain R&D at an entirely new level.
