​What are the secrets of great screenwriting? How can we tell compelling stories—no matter the genre we’re writing in? 

​Michael Jamin is a seasoned TV writer and storyteller who has crafted hit television narratives on shows like "Just Shoot Me!" and "King of the Hill.” 

​His latest work, a collection of essays called A Paper Orchestra, recounts the true stories of a man searching for identity, love, forgiveness, and redemption. 

​Join us for a conversation with Michael as we explore his entry into television, his favorite screenwriting tips, and what it takes to build an expansive career as a writer.

​About  Michael Jamin 

​Michael Jamin has been writing for television since 1996.  His many credits include Just Shoot Me, King of the Hill, Beavis & Butthead, Wilfred, Out of Practice, Rules of Engagement, Lopez and Tacoma FD.  He’s also served as Executive Producer/Showrunner on Glenn Martin DDS, Maron, and Rhett & Link’s Buddy System. Michael currently lives in Los Angeles, where he continues to work in TV and is the author of the essay collection A Paper Orchestra.
