Panel Series #1: Investing in Healthcare
Join Triton Ventures and UCSD HealthLink on January 28th from 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. at Rady's Otterson 2S117 MPR 2 for a remote speaking panel with three UCSD alumni who are current healthcare VC's to talk about the future of healthcare.
Ray Jang: Currently a Principal at Primetime Partners in New York, New York, with a background in project management, business analysis, and financial analysis. He has successfully co-founded and served as CEO of Edu-MD, which was later acquired by IMD Marketing, and has experience in strategic planning and business development in the healthcare sector.
Dan Gebremedhin: Currently a Partner at Flare Capital Partners and previously a practicing Physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and a Faculty Instructor at Harvard Medical School. He also was a Medical Director at Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan, co-founded businesses in Electronic Health Records and Online Medical Education, and contributed to global health initiatives with the Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative in Ethiopia.
Qidong Jia: Currently a General Partner at Celtic House where he manages the firm’s digital healthcare practice focusing on the pre-seed and seed stages. Previously, he worked in entrepreneurial finance, from leveraged buyouts to venture capital, was a healthcare angel investor, and a partner at CentreGold Capital, leading health tech seed investments including Circadia Health, Cerebral, Virgo, Nirvana, Vincere, and Health Note.
