Poetry Night in Dreamworld w/ The Poetry Society of New York
Join us for Poetry in Dreamworld with The Poetry Society of New York on National Dreamer Day—an evening of poetry, creativity, and conversation. Whether you come to write, read, or listen, this is a space for slowing down, reflecting, and connecting through words.
Dreams, like poems, are woven from unfiltered symbols, feelings, and experiences. They turn our innermost desires and thoughts into colors, sounds, and stories - making them perfect teachers of poetry.
This workshop will be led by Jackie Braje, Brooklyn-based poet, educator, and Chief Operating Officer of The Poetry Society of New York! Jackie is also the Managing Director of the NYC Poetry Festival and co-founder of Milk Press.
We’ll begin with writing prompts to spark ideas, followed by an open-mic session for those who wish to share. Poets, storytellers, and lovers of language—all are welcome.
Open mic for those who want to share
Writing prompts and exercises to inspire new ideas
A relaxed, welcoming space for conversation and creativity
Complimentary herbal teas
Come write, listen, and connect with a community of fellow dreamers.
