Radicle Inspect #001: Collaborative Objects Virtual Study Group
Join our first virtual Radicle study group where we will be covering Collaborative Objects (aka COBs).
In the Radicle protocol, COBs play an important role in supplementing Git with social artifacts such as issues, code reviews and discussions, which are not inherently supported by Git. Typically, these artifacts are only found on centralized platforms like GitHub or GitLab, or their self-hosted counterparts. In Radicle, COBs allow for social artifacts to be stored directly inside a repository, and replicated between peers. This means that social artifacts inherit the same properties as source code: they are local-first, user-owned, and cryptographically signed.
To participate in the best way, read the "Collaborative Objects" section of the Protocol Guide before the session, and come prepared with your questions. Register to add this event to your calendar and receive event reminders.
Disclaimer: Sessions will take place on Jitsi and will be recorded for internal transcription purposes only and deleted afterward. Use a pseudonym and text chat for anonymity if desired. By participating, you consent to this recording process.
