​Taiko is an Ethereum-equivalent (Type 1) ZK-EVM, maximally compatible with Ethereum. Transaction sequencing on Taiko is done by Ethereum validators (also called based sequencing). Based sequencing is simple and inherits Ethereum's liveness and credible neutrality.
