About Event

📚✨ Box From Babel Presents: Reading Rave (5)
April 24th, 7–9PM | KW Art Gallery

Imagine independent reading time in 2nd grade—but with ambient techno, bookmark making, and an exhibit of forbidden books from the legendary Highway Bookstore.

Reading Rave is a slow rave for the curious, a literary salon for the lost, a place to read in public with strangers under soft lights and beautiful sounds. Bring a book, make a bookmark, sip a mocktail, and drift into the library inside your mind.

🎧 What to Expect
— BYOB (Bring Your Own Book)
— Ambient electronic DJ set to read to
— Bookmark-making table (submit your creation to the Weirdest Bookmark Contest)
— Exhibit: Echoes from the Highway — featuring rare and odd titles from Ontario’s most iconic roadside bookstore
— Mystery Box sales: curated books pulled from the Box from Babel archive
— Mocktails, mingling, and a collective return to deep attention

🎭 Dress Code
