About Event

Welcome to the Conference on GenArt and AI today

Hosted by ArtReview, Le Random and Digital Original, this conference brings together artists, curators, theorists, and technologists to examine the expanding field of generative art and artificial intelligence. As creative tools evolve and machine learning becomes embedded in artistic practice, the day explores how these shifts are redefining authorship, agency, aesthetics, and cultural memory.

Through panel discussions and critical conversations, the programme traces the emergence of AI within contemporary art discourse—from the ethical and legal challenges of creative authorship to the parallel histories told by institutions, collectors, and artists shaping this field in real time.

Responding to Deep Learning, hosted by Le Random
Deep learning art is often associated with prompting, flattened to unflattering tropes that it’s easy, instant and vapid. Yet for over 10 years artists have responded to various deep learning technologies with sensitivity and patient contemplation. This talk celebrates the diversity of conceptual and technical practices that have defined the budding form.

From Artist Studio to Wallet: New Infrastructure for Digital Art
The infrastructure of today’s digital art market can’t keep up with its rapid changes. Global platforms often fail to meet the needs of niche artists and individually developed projects. This forces artists and curators to adapt their concepts to predefined interfaces—when it should be the other way around. The future of digital art sales lies in creator-led storefronts, individually tailored. This presentation explores what that future could look like by combining relevant technologies with the proven logic of the traditional art market.
- Anna Filippova, Chief Executive Officer, Digital Original (Ukraine/Spain)
- Yulia Berdiiarova, Head of Business Development, Digital Original (Ukraine/Spain)
