International Day of the Girl Child: Empowering Indigenous Girls

​Join us for a special event in celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, focused on amplifying the voices and experiences of Indigenous girls around the world. The theme, "Empowering Indigenous Girls: Overcoming Barriers," will address the unique challenges Indigenous girls face, including limited access to education, healthcare, and social inclusion, compounded by gender and cultural identity.

​The event will offer a platform for Indigenous girls to share their stories, perspectives, and solutions for a more equitable future. Key discussions will center on how to overcome systemic barriers through community-based strategies, and the creation of global solidarity networks to support Indigenous girls in achieving their full potential.

​The event is organized by the Indigenous Students Working Group of the Global Student Forum.
