About Event

Course Information

This course has been designed specifically to give you the confidence and capabilities you need to work through an approach to reviewing and adapting your digital and technology landscape within your organisation. Each participant will be supported and given the tools to assuredly create an approach that works for your organisation.

Comprehensive modules cater to both the immediate and future needs of your charity, offering you the opportunity to learn how to review and adapt technology within your organisation in a way that works for you. The course will help you to create the practices and cultures needed to maintain and sustain a strong digital foundation for now and for the future. 

This course is designed as a blended learning experience where you will actively engage in the learning, including an amount of relevant work outside of attending the modules.

The course modules will be delivered online via Zoom every two weeks.  There will be optional group drop in sessions in alternate weeks to the course modules where you can ask the training team any questions and connect with other charities.

Module information

Module 1: Developing a digital and technology strategy
Wed 27th April, 10.00-12.00

This session provides you with an introduction to the elements that make a good digital strategy, and how to align this with your organisational vision and mission. It also provides you with methods to understand your stakeholders, and who best to engage to make the strategy a success.

Module 2: Technology landscape audit
Mon 9th May, 11.00-13.00

This session highlights why it’s important to understand existing technologies within your organisation, and how this can be achieved by non technical roles. It provides a step by step process, and template, to audit technology that exists within your organisation - highlighting any areas of duplication or gaps. It will also feature emerging technology trends, and whether you should be making a plan for these.

Module 3: Roadmap planning
Tue 24th May, 13.00-15.00

This session provide you with an approach and templates to produce a plan to create, gain approval for, and maintain a digital strategy. It also provides guidance on producing a roadmap to deliver the digital strategy, and helps you understand the difference. This session will enable you to review an existing digital strategy, or plan the creation of one.
