Ai Salon: 2025 Resolutions
As AI reshapes our world, the narratives promoted by tech companies about our AI future raise questions about our agency in this transformation. We're often told that AI's trajectory is predetermined — that AI will become an even more ubiquitous presence in our personal and professional lives.
But what if we approached 2025 not as passive observers, but as active shapers of the future we're living our way into?
Because beneath the corporate announcements lies a more complex story about potential AI futures — and the role we all have to play in ensuring the future we want is built.
Whether you're a tech worker, researcher, student or member of civil society, join us for a conversation around:
Reflecting on 2024's AI breakthroughs and progress
Projected 2025 AI trends, including trends in innovation, governance and impact to society
Creating meaningful resolutions for how we build, deploy and use AI in 2025, including how we might build collective commitments for AI progress
Challenging the "inevitable future" narrative pushed by AI companies by practicing our unique senses of agency
This is an in-person event. To facilitate smooth and cohesive conversations, please arrive at 5:30pm for a prompt discussion start at 6pm. Individuals who arrive after 6pm will not be able to get into the venue.

The AI Salon is a community founded in San Francisco focused on intimate, small-sized group discussions on the sociological, economic, cultural, and philosophical impacts and meaning of AI developments. We host small group discussions, all of which you can find on our calendar. You can find summaries of our previous conversations on our substack.
Please be advised: Unfortunately, space is very limited at these community events and we can not always accept everyone we would like to. We base acceptances based on levels of interest and passion demonstrated in registration question answers. If you are not accepted to this event, please try and come to another!
