MEET THE SPEAKERS:
Ray Beldner:
Ray Beldner, a mixed media artist from San Francisco, boasts a prestigious exhibition history both nationally and internationally, with his work featured in esteemed institutions such as the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. His pieces are cherished additions to numerous public and private collections, including those of corporate entities like Saks Fifth Ave and Bain Capital. Beldner holds a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and an MFA from Mills College and has garnered accolades such as a California Arts Council Fellowship and grants from foundations like the Haas Foundation. As an educator, he has shared his expertise in sculpture and interdisciplinary studies at renowned institutions such as the San Francisco Art Institute and the University of California. His impactful work has garnered attention from publications like Art in America and the New York Times, contributing to influential catalogues on contemporary art.
