In collaboration with The Center for Entrepreneurship at Monmouth University, we are excited to ignite the return of Jersey Shore Tech and Design (JST&D). Founded in 2010, JST&D community events cover various innovative technology and design topics, engage local professionals and students, and help foster the creative energy and community in our own backyard. Let's build together 🚀
For those new to JST&D, all events are friendly, informal gatherings for technology and design professionals, students, and anyone of any background is invited to join us. All are welcome.
We'll have pizza and drinks (water, seltzer). Doors open at 6:30 for grabbing a slice and networking. We'll begin the event at 7pm.

Jersey Shore Tech and Design is a the largest group in Monmouth & Ocean Counties for tech and design professionals, students, startups, and leaders looking to network, learn, and grow.
All are invited connect, share ideas, collaborate, catch up with friends, and hang with people from the local tech and design community. Chill vibes. S

Making Generative Art For Fun And Profit
In 2021, long-form generative art entered the mainstream with the help of NFTs and the blockchain. Inspired by the potential for true real-time code art, Craig Phares immediately dove head first into the world of creative coding. In this talk, Craig discusses the research, tools, and thought processes behind his five projects on fxHash, a major generative art platform and marketplace. Robot Rock: How to use AI to make beats
This talk will focus on using React, LLMs and the WebAudio API to make music. we’ll look at Prior Art, prerequisites, and ML techniques that we can use to let the machines do the work.

Craig Phares - Founder of Six Overground (and aspiring Generative Artist)
Craig Phares is a veteran software designer and engineer. He built his first game on a TI-85 calculator when he should have been doing math homework, and has never stopped—creating numerous jaw-dropping digital masterpieces for the web, desktop, and mobile devices. He has recently embarked on a personal journey as a long-form generative artist. When he’s not glued to a computer screen, you'll find him in the real world, dreaming up the next big thing.
