This session will combine yoga, Pilates, HIIT and optional weights (byoW) to give you a workout as well as a sound mind, with breathwork and meditation at the end!
About Rachel:
Yoga made its way into my life at the perfect time. I was twenty years old, running from thing to thing, and truthfully- mentally and physically exhausted. Under the notion that yoga wasn't a "workout," I avoided it at all costs. At that phase of my life, I was naive to the fact that this practice could be the answer to so many of my issues. My friend urged me to take a class with her, and I reluctantly went (after a cardio workout) to try this practice out. Not only was I incredibly sore immediately, I felt an instant mindful connection too. I quickly became addicted to the entire idea of yoga- the breath work, the mentality, the poses- all of it. Continuing to refine my practice, I practiced yoga for the next five years. It was then when I decided to take it to the next step and work towards my 200-hour teacher training. I then began teaching at various studios and virtually. During Covid, I was craving more of a strenuous workout, so I began incorporating weights and Pilates movement into my yoga practices. From there, I created the “Soulful Sweat Sesh” where we combine yoga, weight-training, Pilates, and cardio into a fun beat-driven workout! Follow me on Instagram @soulful_ray!
