Metagov Researcher Joseph Gubbels and USC Associate Professor of History Aro Velmet will be co-facilitating a discussion on the topic of e-democracy technology and the integration of participatory methods and tools into traditional political institutions /administrations.
Aro is currently writing that in part deals with the following question and provocation: "when faced with the option of using digital infrastructure to improve citizens’ sharing in power vs. taking a very narrowly service provision-oriented view, why do states always choose the latter?”
