Speak Up and Influence: Amplify Your Voice, Visibility, and Influence

​Ideally, the words we speak to ourselves, write on the page, and speak in the world sound like they are coming from the same person, demonstrate confidence and competence, and move people to take action. Yet for too many people, particularly women, there is not only a disconnect between our self-talk and interpersonal communication, but code switching between professional and personal life and second-guessing ourselves means our communication falls short of its potential. In this timely and practical workshop, discover how to present yourself as likable, credible, and trustworthy in verbal, nonverbal, and video communication. Develop tools to manage fear, self-defeating thoughts, and uncomfortable bodily sensations and feelings that emerge in connection with communicating your ideas to team members, colleagues, and clients. Plus, learn important self-advocacy skills to speak up for yourself when presenting your ideas, setting boundaries, and navigating uncomfortable, high-stakes conversations.
