Uniting Brain Research and Instructional Practice with Richard Lemons (Yale)
Are you an educator in K-12 or higher-ed looking to improve your craft? Or an administrator seeking to leverage pedagogical practice backed by research?
We're excited to host Richard Lemons from Yale Education Studies in a small, one-time live class online this Wednesday. And while space is capped, we're more excited to offer this opportunity free of charge.
In his first live class, Professor Lemons will explore important findings from brain science and learning theory as well as their practical impact on classroom pedagogical practice and lesson design.
He'll specifically diving deeper into Prior Knowledge, and how this serves as both a barrier and accelerant of understanding and learning.
Each lesson will provide an efficient but in-depth overview of a single brain research idea and its practical relevance for classroom practice covering ideas like Intrinsic Motivation, Prior Knowledge, Cultural Connections and Psychological Safety.
