Naveen Kumar, KFC Ventures
From humble beginnings Naveen Kumar has turned his passion for building large technology businesses into a massive portfolio which is now spread across 44 countries, with a workforce of over 31,000 employees.
He is well-known in the technology industry and is rapidly expanding his presence in the world of venture capital. Renowned for his investments in technology companies and multiple startups, Naveen has established a strong track record with the support of Karma Free Capital Ventures.
Prince. Kudra Kalema
Prince Kudra Kalema Kimbugwe of Buganda, Uganda, is an engineer and entrepreneur who creates and invests in socially impactful opportunities in emerging markets. He is the Managing Partner and founder of CP-EM, LLC, a next-generation company that manages renewable energy project development and financing. CP-EM is currently developing a 1GW solar program for Uganda aimed at driving local economic stimulation, job creation, and technology transfer.
Prince Kalema is also the Founder & President of D3EST Inc., a California non-profit that aids in the design, development, and deployment of essential services and technologies in underserved and displaced communities globally. D3EST is currently developing a solar-powered rural vaccination and medical relief program in East Africa.
He has recently launched the African Identity Institute, a California nonprofit dedicated to the research, celebration, and long-term preservation of African Cultural Heritage in communities globally through educational, scientific, and economic initiatives.
Having lived and worked across Africa, Europe, and the United States, Prince Kalema brings a global perspective to his work in social entrepreneurship and development.
Key to CP-EM's, D3EST's, and the Institute’s high-impact, high-return strategies is his inherent understanding of African culture and societies, in addition to his expertise in social entrepreneurship, conservation, and associated technologies.
He advocates for the deployment of advanced engineering paired with community empowerment as pivotal to Africa’s advancement. His efforts as a social entrepreneur and innovator serve as illustrative examples of best practices in sub-Saharan Africa
