A World Without Internet: e-Simulation Debrief Workshop
What Happens After the Blackout?
Over the past 6 weeks, we’ve lived inside A World Without Internet—a participatory simulation set in a world where the internet has collapsed. You’ve faced dilemmas, made tough decisions, and shaped a collective story with each response.
Now, we reconnect to reflect, imagine, and create.
Join us for a live virtual debrief workshop, where we’ll step back into this imagined world—not to escape, but to explore what it reveals about our present and our possible futures.
What to Expect:
🌀 Storyboard Unveiling:
Experience a visual journey through the simulation—a curated storyboard capturing the dilemmas, decisions, emotions, and questions that defined the experience.
🧠 Group Reflection:
Explore what the simulation surfaced for you—emotionally, ethically, and imaginatively.
🛠️ Collective Artifact Creation:
Collaboratively imagine the tools, systems, rituals, and artifacts that might emerge in a post-internet world. Each breakout group will explore a different frame—technology, culture, communication, governance, etc.—and create a prototype from that future.
🗣️ Community Share-Outs:
Present your imagined artifacts, and reflect together on what they reveal about our values, fears, and hopes.
💭 Open Q&A + Closing Circle:
A closing circle to gather insights, field your questions, and consider what’s next for this work—and for you.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who participated in the simulation
Friends curious about speculative design, futures thinking, or narrative worldbuilding
Artists, educators, activists, or strategists seeking new tools for change
✨ This is your invitation to imagine not just what’s broken—but what might be built in its place.
