​SISSA and ICTP invite you to a thought-provoking meetup in Trieste, uniting ML experts, researchers, and enthusiasts to explore the transformative role of AI in the scientific environment and society. Dive into a dynamic panel discussion and cutting-edge scientific insights, fostering dialogue on how AI shapes—and is shaped by—society.

​Local researchers from the Italian scientific community will share groundbreaking work in AI, from technical innovations to interdisciplinary applications.

​After the short talks, we will host a provocative roundtable on "AI and society", and the event will conclude with a light refreshment for all the participants.

​Panel Details:

​The panel will bring together leading experts in AI and AI regulation to discuss the evolving relationship between AI research and societal impact. We will explore the roles and responsibilities of ML scientists and policy makers in addressing issues such as transparency, ethical deployment, and regulatory frameworks of AI. The discussion aims to spark a deeper conversation within the AI alliance community about how AI technologies shape (and are shaped by) the social context in which they operate.
