Bharathi Sundaresh joined Flagship in 2024 as an Associate with Lovisa Afzelius’ team after completing the Flagship Fellowship in 2024. At Flagship, she works on the operations and strategy for a stealth startup within the Flagship ecosystem and drives novel venture origination across multiple topics. Prior to Flagship, Bharathi was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard/Boston Children’s Hospital, and received her PhD in Microbial Systems Biology from Boston College, focusing on genomic profiling of bacterial immune evasion for antibacterial drug target discovery.
Olivia Arnold joined Flagship in 2024 as an Associate with Avak Kahvejian’s team after completing the Flagship Fellowship in 2023. At Flagship, she works on a new stealth startup within the Flagship ecosystem and drives novel venture origination efforts. Prior to Flagship, Olivia received her PhD in Medical Engineering from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences & Technology program, focusing on designing and applying DNA-based nanoparticles for therapeutic applications.
Ayse Muñiz joined Flagship in 2021 after completing the Flagship Summer Fellowship in 2020. Over the last 4 years, she has played diverse roles in the Flagship ecosystem, including building platform companies, and originating therapeutic assets with Pioneering Medicines. Currently, as a Principal with Pioneering Intelligence she is focused on founding AI/ML focused start-ups and leads operations, strategy, and oversees early-stage technology development. Prior to Flagship, she completed her PhD in Macromolecular Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan, where she developed novel biomaterials for organoid systems.
