About Event

In a world of accelerating climate challenges, meaningful connections and collaborative thinking have never been more vital. Climate Action Club invites you to a community dinner where conversation becomes catalyst.

If you’re looking for a space to challenge ideas, find solidarity, and spark action, join us!

We're diving into a fascinating conversation from the Great Simplification, featuring energy historian Jean-Baptiste Fressoz's work to debunk the "energy transition" narrative. You'll explore how our energy systems have truly evolved—it's not always about replacing old with new, but often about adding "more and more and more." This fresh perspective offers insights into how we think about our consumption habits and the path to a sustainable future.

To get the most out of the evening, we ask everyone to listen to this recommended podcast episode as a pre-listen:

Come prepared to discuss how history shapes our present energy challenges, what "energy transition" really means, and what it implies for our efforts to address climate change. It's a chance to connect with others and broaden your understanding of our energy landscape!
