​As AI systems become embedded in public and organisational life, the hardest choices often lie between disciplines, not within them. In this workshop, local entrepreneur Dr Heather Brindley will describe how to map between different knowledge domains by putting proven ideas together in new and explainable ways. You’ll explore how this approach can support decision-making in AI, where technical, ethical, and human-centred questions often collide.

​Dr Heather Brindley is the founder of AXiLe Informatics, an Australian startup focused on decision-making and problem-solving education. Heather is an expert software systems engineer with experience of a wide range of complex application systems and multiple different hardware platforms. Her startup leverages her independent research into the construction and application of sense making conceptual models, and how those tasks can be facilitated by proven enterprise architecture descriptions, frameworks, patterns, and advanced data modelling and visualisation techniques.
