Build & Lead – Why Everyone Hates Training
Every developer loves learning; almost every developer hates training. Sounds familiar?
In this workshop, Hywel Carver will share what he has learnt about learning: the differences between learning and training, why people dislike training, and why everyone ultimately learns best from experience.
After a short presentation, we will work hands-on to apply the concepts and discuss challenges faced by participants.
Hywel is a CTO turned CEO. He runs a dinner club for CTOs and a podcast for tech leaders called "Primarily Context-Based". During his career spanning over 12 years, he has built and scaled start-ups. With Skiller Whale, he is drawing on that experience to solve the biggest problem he faced as a CTO: how to facilitate learning for engineering teams.
Join us for this edition of the Build & Lead event series. No recruiting. Community led. Workshop-style experiences.
