About Led by Design
We are a Berlin-based community for senior design professionals, leaders and their allies focused on design strategy, operations, leadership, and collaboration culture. For the past year our team organised events with HelloFresh, Netlight, GetYourGuide, Doctolib, N26 and Thoughtworks.
While most of our members come from Product Design & UX, we welcome allies and senior professionals from non-design disciplines such as product, engineering, data and strategy — because the only way to break out of the silo and learn from each other is to engage in an open dialogue and tear down the fictional barriers.
Led by Design. is a partner of Berlin Design Network / Berlin Design e.V.

💡Event FAQ
Who can apply for this event?
LBD meetups are intended exclusively for seasoned design professionals, leaders, people managers, and strategists in product design, UX, CX, service design, DesignOps, and ResearchOps. We also welcome allies and senior professionals from non-design disciplines such as product, engineering, data, and strategy.
What is your no-show or cancellation policy?
LBD meetups are run on a voluntary effort in partnership with our hosts to enable quality content and experience for all participants free of charge. Yet the organization and realization of each event come at an expense: working hours of everyone involved, cost of catering, drinks, and energy. Not showing up means indifference to such efforts and taking space for those genuinely interested in joining.
Therefore we kindly ask you to register only if you are 100% sure you can attend in person in Berlin and upon pre-registration, you are asked to tick the box to confirm your attendance. If you can no longer make it despite confirming, we kindly ask you to immediately cancel your ticket.
For the sake of fairness, last-minute cancellations and 2 no-shows without any notice will result in a ban from future events.
Can I enter after the doors close?
It is not possible to enter after the doors close from 19:00 onwards to ensure our program starts on time. We recommend arriving between 18:20—18:55 to find the venue on time, grab a refreshment and relax before the event starts.
How can I get involved?
There are plenty of ways to get involved and help us create great event experiences, e.g.
✅ propose topics for upcoming events
✅ apply as a speaker to share your challenges and learnings
✅ nominate a speaker
✅ co-host our upcoming meetup as event partner (providing your space, catering, and refreshments)
✅ spread the word and share your impressions on social media

Can I use free LBD meetups to sell my services?
No. Our free meetups are not intended for sales, job-seeking or recruitment activities of any kind, and such are not permitted on the event premises. LBD events are all about creating a safe space for meaningful two-way conversations and quality exchange related to the main topics and common challenges.
We can however host a special format outside of our usual meetups and promote your services in exchange for a sponsorship fee. Feel free to reach out with specific inquiries at hello@ledbydesign.berlin
Can I bring someone with me?
Your friend or colleague is most welcome to join if they have a valid ticket in their name, meaning that their registration was previously approved just like yours.
Can I join the event without a ticket or approval?
No, walk-ins are not allowed. Pre-registrations don't guarantee attendance and are subject to approval. Tickets are being issued upon approval.
Can I bring a dog or pet?
Dogs are pets and are not allowed at the event premises unless they are assistance dogs.
Do you have an accessibility policy?
Accessibility policies depend on the host company. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate fully and equally in our events and in case you have any special requirements, do not hesitate to contact us upfront, so we can do our best to accommodate it.
What is your code of conduct?
This is a professional networking event focused on exchanging and fostering inspiring and meaningful conversations. We go by love, kindness, and respect, and aim to create a safe space for our members and visitors. We have zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, and discrimination of any kind and such will result in an immediate ban from event premises and future events.
