​ICI Movie Club is back at The Arzner – and this time we’re turning up the glitz with a screening of Burlesque (2010), starring the one and only Cher and pop powerhouse Christina Aguilera 💋💃✨

​We were going to do a group theatre night, but with sky-high group ticket prices, we thought: why pay more to see a watered-down version when you can enjoy the iconic original?

​Burlesque is a high-camp, high-glamour celebration of resilience, performance, and queer-coded sparkle. Christina plays a small-town girl chasing big dreams in LA who finds herself at a struggling burlesque lounge run by Cher.

Cue powerhouse vocals, show-stopping numbers, found family, and more sequins than you can shake a feather boa at.

​It’s the perfect mix of music, melodrama, and unapologetic fabulousness – everything you’d want from a Pride-season Movie Club pick. 🌈🎤👠
