Vernissage: Anima by Arno

​Anima is an artistic pondering on the complex ghostly spirit of existence in the self, the other, nature and urban, object and ethereal.

​Borrowed from the Latin for 'soul', 'the vital principle' and 'life', anima morphed into English as 'the inner personality which is in contact with the unconscious.' Anima is the ghost, the shadow, the spirit of us.

Anima explores the ghostly nature of memory, identity, and projection in a digital world. The body of work blends acrylic, photo transfer, oil, pencil, and gouache into a minimal, contemplative space.
