​Intro to Meditation + Sound Bath

​This class features a series of breathing techniques, seated asanas, guided meditation on transcendence and a deep relaxation inspired by the classical teachings of Yoga. We will then end each practice with a sound immersion by a gong to really embody the essence of blissfulness and awareness. We meditate not only for the peace, joy, and happiness it brings, but also to free ourselves from the limitations of material existence.

​Don James Batalla is a certified Sivananda Hatha Yoga Teacher. He grew more aware of his consciousness through the yoga practices he learned while living in an Ashram. As his practice evolved, he began sharing therapeutic and healing techniques to help people become more self aware and conscious of their dharma. Don is a patient teacher, committed to sharing practices of peace and harmony through his learnings. Apart from being a yoga teacher, Don is also an artist, designing merchandise for his collective Solwave, an avenue for New Yorkers to alleviate pain and suffering through art and wellness.
