Climate Action Club Hike: Crosstown Trail!
The climate crisis calls for community—and Climate Action Club is answering.
Join us for an urban hike along San Francisco’s Crosstown Trail designed to spark deep connection, joyful movement, and a fresh perspective on what climate community can look like. We’ll start at Candlestick Point and wind our way through some of San Francisco’s most iconic parks and green corridors—stopping along the way for curated icebreakers, group reflections, and spontaneous moments to connect.
Whether you’re joining for 6 miles (~12 PM) or going the full 18 (~6 PM), this is your invitation to move your body, meet values-aligned peers, and build relationships that last longer than your average meetup.
We believe the strongest climate communities are built through shared experiences—both virtually and IRL. Walking side-by-side creates space for real conversation, and that’s where change begins.
Hike Overview
Start: Candlestick Point

Each stop includes time to rest, chat, and engage in lightly facilitated group activities. Want to hike just a portion? Totally fine. We’ll send a pre-hike survey so you can indicate where you plan to stop—whether that’s 3 miles in or all the way at the edge of the continent.

Community Principles
Growth Mindset: We are committed to learning together, deepening our understanding of climate challenges, and taking action where we’re best positioned.
Relationships, Not Transactions: We prioritize genuine connections over networking for opportunities, recognizing that strong relationships drive lasting change.
Inclusivity & Diversity: A range of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences enriches our community and leads to better engagement and solutions.
Mutual Respect: We foster a respectful space where all voices are heard. We may not always agree, but we’re here to learn and grow together.
