Barekendan Party
We’re bringing Barekendan back with a modern twist. This is Armenia’s ultimate festival of theatrical mischief, social role reversals, and unfiltered joy. Expect a full day of creativity, games, performances, and celebration, all leading up to an unforgettable night of music and revelry.
The event kicks off with a hands-on mask-making workshop where participants can craft their own unique designs. Later, the masks come to life in a masquerade competition with prizes for the most creative and absurd looks. Throughout the day, guests can jump into traditional Armenian games, enjoy live performances, and experience stand-up comedy before the night ends with a DJ set.
Barekendan is a celebration of indulgence and self-expression, where feasting, dancing, and playful chaos are not just encouraged but required. Whether you're here to create, compete, or just enjoy the spectacle, this is your chance to be part of the revival of one of Armenia’s most legendary festivals.
Event Programming
2:00 PM – Mask-Making Workshop (3,000 AMD)
Mixed-media mask creation with guidance from artists
Option to decorate pre-made masks for a faster experience
Spontaneous dance session may break out before the workshop
5:00 PM – Traditional Armenian Games

7:00 PM – Traditional Armenian Games (Round 2)

8:00 PM – Masquerade Competition
Judging based on handmade masks and pre-made costumes
