FCX, Salter Brothers and Mighty Partners are pleased to host this exclusive in-person event Challenges for Series A+ Operators: Providing Early Founders and Investors with Options for Liquidity.

Steve McLean: Head of Origination, FCX
Kal Jamshidi: Managing Director, Mighty Partners
Emily Mohan: Investment Director, Salter Brothers

Moderated by James Hennessy: Ideas Editor, Capital Brief
About the Speakers
Steve McLean Steve is a Non-Executive Director and in-house Corporate Adviser at FinClear and FCX, bringing over 25 years of corporate finance expertise from roles at JPMorgan and board positions across multiple listed firms.
He was previously an Independent Non-Executive Director at Litigation Capital Management, underscoring his strong governance and advisory background.
His ability to lean on a career in global public market investment banking, where he lead capital market transactions that raised in excess of $50 billion, will seek to accelerate institutional adoption of private markets via ‘playing the game we know, but with a few modern tweaks.’
Kal Jamshidi: Kal began his career in investment banking at Macquarie, advising technology and software companies on M&A and capital markets across Sydney and San Francisco.
He then joined U.S. insurtech Doma in its early stages, helping scale the business from 20 employees to $150M in revenue. He led a $170M acquisition and helped position the company for its $3B IPO.
Kal has since founded and exited two ventures—OnPodio, a fitness SaaS startup, and Letter of Intent, a finance newsletter acquired by Capital Brief.
Now at Mighty Partners, Kal works closely with CFOs and founders to structure non-dilutive capital solutions that scale with the business. He brings a practical lens to capital efficiency, blending operator experience with financial rigor—particularly relevant for finance leaders shifting from tactical execution to strategic enablement.
Emily Mohan: Emily has over twelve years’ experience across Funds Management, Equity Capital Markets, M&A and Equity Research and has worked across both private and public markets.
She joined Salter Brothers in December 2024 as an Investment Director and is responsible for the unlisted funds, covering investment assessment, transaction execution and post investment and strategic management of operational companies.
Most recently, Emily was a director at iPartners where she established the company’s first equity fund. Emily’s experience has seen her operate across the entire investment process including origination, diligence, structuring, and ongoing portfolio management. She has also held several non-executive director roles across high growth companies.
