SK Wu – Head of ESG at Alliance Construction Materials Limited, with over 25 years of experience in the construction materials industry. SK specialises in carbon footprint assessment, sustainability reporting, and occupational health & safety management.
Professor Veronique Lafon-Vinais - Since 2009, Veronique has been a full-time finance faculty member at HKUST with over 20 years of experience in banking and capital markets. As co-head of the BSc in Sustainable and Green Finance, Asia’s first program of its kind launched in 2023, she has been active in sustainable finance since 2005. Her expertise spans major developed debt markets, including loan syndications, asset sales, money markets, debt capital markets, and structured and project finance.
🎤 Panelists:
Doug Woodring – Founder & Managing Director of Ocean Recovery Alliance, an organisation driving solutions for plastic pollution. Awarded the Prince’s Prize for Innovative Philanthropy in Monaco and actively involved in UN Plastic Treaty negotiations.
Chris Hanselman – Chris’ family has been in the fish business since 1908, and he’s been in Hong Kong since 1982. In 2000, having worked for the Hong Kong Government and then an NGO, with an increasing awareness of overfishing in our ocean, he decided to help educate people of the benefits of purchasing seafood from ‘responsibly sourced’ suppliers and supplying them with these items in Asia. He continues with that mission today.
