What will we cover?
We will explore 'Balancing Inclusion with Excellence'. One of the frequent pushbacks L&D professionals face in wanting to make their work more inclusive is they have high compliance targets to meet, or expectations of a certain speed at which learners will retain information. The session would explore how to balance inclusion needs with external expectations of what excellence looks like, and how to shape a more inclusive approach to excellence as a result.
In this session we’ll learn how to consider inclusion and academic excellence in a way that is symbiotic, and how to reframe excellence in contexts that do not rely solely on assessment in order to have those conversations with stakeholders. The audience will also share ideas and learn techniques to balance the varying learning needs in their own L&D environments with great learning excellence.
