About Event

​The month of May is dedicated to raising awareness about blood pressure (BP) measurement and its usefulness in the treatment of hypertension. High blood pressure is the leading cause of preventable death worldwide. Only half of the persons with high blood pressure are aware that they have it. These fatalities may have been avoided.

​This 17th May (World Hypertension Day) at 3 PM, Join us at Pazcare along with TGHC as we discuss the science behind Hypertension.

​What would be covered in the webinar:-

  • ​Understanding Hypertension as the single most important risk factor for heart attacks, and strokes and 2nd most important risk factor for kidney failure.

  • ​Prevalence and symptoms of Hypertension

  • ​The Science behind how we develop it

  • ​Why are Indians at greater risk?

  • ​What can we do about it to prevent it or to manage it better if we already have it?

​About the speaker: Dr B Vijay Kiran

He is an MD - Paediatrics, DM, Fellowship, DNB & MRCP in Nephrology, Royal College of England, UK. He has worked in the prestigious Nizam's Institute Of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad and is now a stakeholder partner at the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology, Hyderabad. Dr Vijay is a super-specialist nephrologist who works with kidney cancer patients and has been actively working on building awareness among the public about various health issues.

​About the speaker: Kamal Parida

​Kamal Parida is the Founder & CEO of The Good Health Clinic (TGHC). Based out of the US, UAE and India, TGHC’s mission is to democratise safe and affordable disease reversal through personalized and science-led health coaching and physician coordination.
