Practicing Boundaries: From Skin to Bone | September 2024 Community Jam
About Our September 2024 Community Jam
This month, we are excited to have Lydia Hooper, a trauma-informed facilitator and member of our community, facilitate a unique workshop experience on practicing boundaries in the workplace.
Workshop Overview:
In our commitment to values for inclusion and equity, we will encounter all kinds of challenges, where status-quo tools and techniques simply fall short.
Those of us who are highly empathic may be especially prone to respond by overstretching ourselves, which can result not only in burnout but also resentment and maybe even harmful behavior.
In this workshop, participants will be invited to reconsider what boundaries really are (they may not be what you think!), and to learn about body-based practices that can help us keep showing up as our beautifully human selves.
What to Expect
This workshop will begin with an introduction to the facilitator, Lydia, and an overview of core concepts related to boundaries (including power, safety, and harm). Then, Lydia will facilitate an individual body-based practice, followed by an open group discussion about questions.
