About the Instructor:
My name is Walaa, and I am an actor/dancer passionate about drama in all its glorious forms, so I would not mind being called a drama queen. I find it fitting to how I found meaning in life's existential questions; accordingly, that is how I chose to carry myself in the world. I have a BA in Theatre Arts from the American University in Cairo and a two-year MFA in the Meisner technique from the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, NYC, making me 3rd generation Meisner actor. I also have actor conservatory training with SiTi company, run by Ann Bogart, specializing in Suzuki and viewpoint actor training. I am a Cairo Contemporary Dance School student, completing my third year of short dance Modules. I have worked professionally with many directors, such as Marwan Hamid, Mohamed Shaker Khodier, and Khairy Bishara, and I am an active member of the Egyptian Actor Syndicate. Workshop Description:
Meisner Repetition Lab
For actors who have completed Meisner 1 or 2, this lab is a return to the foundation of the technique: repetition as daily muscle work. It’s a space to sharpen instincts, train presence, and reconnect to the mindset at the heart of the exercise — truthful listening and responding, moment to moment.
Prerequisite: Completion of Meisner 1 or Meisner 2.

عن المدرّبة:
اسمي ولاء، وأنا ممثلة وراقصة شغوفة بالدراما بكل أشكالها الرائعة، لذا لا أمانع أن يُطلق علي لقب "ملكة الدراما". أجد أن هذا اللقب يعكس تمامًا الطريقة التي وجدت بها المعنى في أسئلة الحياة الوجودية، وبناءً عليها اخترت كيف أعيش وأتفاعل مع العالم.
أحمل درجة البكالوريوس في فنون المسرح من الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، ودرجة الماجستير MFA لمدة عامين في تقنية مايزنر من مدرسة الحي للمسرح Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre في نيويورك، مما يجعلني ممثلة من الجيل الثالث في هذه التقنية. كما تلقيت تدريبًا مكثفًا في معهد SiTi Company الذي تديره آن بوجارت، متخصصًا في تدريبات الممثلين بأسلوبي سوزوكي و"وجهة النظر" Viewpoints.
أنا طالبة في مدرسة القاهرة للرقص المعاصر، وأكمل عامي الثالث من وحدات الرقص القصيرة. عملتُ بشكل احترافي مع العديد من المخرجين، مثل مروان حامد، محمد شاكر خضير، وخيري بشارة، وأنا عضو نشط في نقابة المهن التمثيلية المصرية.

مختبر التكرار – ميزنر (Meisner Repetition Lab)
مخصّص للممثلين الذين أنهوا المستوى الأول أو الثاني من منهج ميزنر، يوفّر هذا المختبر عودة إلى أساس التقنية: تمرين التكرار كعمل يومي عضلي.
إنه مساحة لشحذ الغرائز، تدريب الحضور، وإعادة الاتصال بالعقلية الجوهرية في قلب هذا التمرين — الإصغاء والرد بصدق، لحظة بلحظة.
المتطلب السابق: إتمام مستوى ميزنر 1 أو ميزنر 2.
