​When I became more interested in board-gaming in the late twenty-aughts, Puerto Rico was consistently the number one rated game on boardgamegeek.com. It's since fallen from it's old position of prominence.

​In Puerto Rico, you take on the role of a colonial governor competing to develop the most successful island economy. You'll grow crops, build buildings, and ship goods—all while choosing actions that other players get to piggyback on. It’s a strategy game about timing, planning, and a bit of friendly sabotage. No dice, no luck—just clever moves.

​Great for people who like planning ahead, building stuff, and occasionally outsmarting their friends.

​The game is ideal with 4, and a little chaotic with 5. We'll see how many people sign up!
