Venture Financing and Alternative Forms of Financing: What Startups Need to Know #LATechWeek
While the average and median numbers for Seed financing have not dropped significantly below the healthy $3-4M target figures since the rush of 2021, these deals have gone to the best and brightest, and often repeat founders, with product- and founder-market fit, substantial ARR, and strong teams with previous startup experience.
In addition, more and more Series Seed, A, and B companies are finding themselves in longer waiting periods (2.5 years) before their next priced round, and being expected to meet milestones while working with smaller teams.
While the demand for venture finance has not decreased, the demand for alternative forms of financing such as regulated investment crowdfunding (RIC), asset- or A/R based financing, and venture debt has increased in light of the lack of venture deployment and longer time between rounds.
Join us for this informative panel as panelists discuss:
The role of venture finance in the early stages of a company's lifecycle;
How companies may simultaneously raise through crowdfunding and other sources of capital;
Why some companies elect venture debt, and the common terms that accompany it;
How to use A/R-based financing or loans to extend your financial runway; and
What current CFOs are seeing in the market in terms of how their early stage clients are piecing together solutions in difficult economic times.
