🌟 Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) is an exciting way to gather real-time insights! 📱 Sensors and apps capture people’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in their everyday lives, giving researchers valuable, context-rich information about psychological and health experiences. 🧠💬
👨⚕️ Johannes Wolf, a physician at the LMU University Hospital, is postdoctoral researcher who founded his own working group on mobile sensing and ecological momentary assessment. He also serves as one of the speakers for the Munich site of the German Center for Mental Health (DZPG) as an early career scientist. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
📄 Besides other work of his, he will present his paper named: “Temporal interaction of suicidal ideations and behaviors with loneliness in persistent depressive disorder – a feasibility study using ecological momentary assessment.”

👨⚕️ As a second speaker we will be welcoming Dr. Yannik Terhorst. 🔍He is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Psychological Methods and Assessment and leads the Phone Study project at LMU 📱. He is part of major research networks such as the DZPG and the POKAL Graduate College. He co-founded several key projects and infrastructures, including the Mobile Health Application Database, the Database for Mobile Sensing Studies (DAMOS), RehaCAT, and SysDOK.
📄 He will present a paper he published in JAMA Psychiatry in 2024, titled: “Heterogeneity of Treatment Effects in Internet- and Mobile-Based Interventions for Depression: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis”
