Panel Discussion "No One Left Hungry: Food Access as a Fundamental Human Right"
Panel Discussion "No One Left Hungry: Food Access as a Fundamental Human Right"
We are back with the second event of our Climate Justice Series organized by ASSEDEL!
Following the successful launch event "Water Security and Human Rights: A Joint Challenge Affecting All" in May, We are delighted to welcome you to our upcoming panel discussion “No One Left Hungry: Food Access as a Fundamental Human Right”, co-hosted by MEP Cristina Guarda (Greens/EFA), taking place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on July 8, 2025, from 15:00 (3 PM) to 16:30.
Food systems in Europe are currently facing a growing number of challenges due to the combined effects of climate change, geopolitical crises, and volatility in global markets. These factors contribute to rising food prices and supply disruptions, leading to increasing inequality in access to safe and healthy food among vulnerable and marginalised communities, which undermines their wellbeing and dignity.
We aim to analyze current food insecurity trends from a human rights perspective and explore actionable solutions with our panel of experts. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in discussion with the speakers.
Stay tuned for updates on our confirmed speakers!
