YK Sugi is founder of CS Dojo, a leading programming education platform with over 1.9 million subscribers on YouTube , dedicated to empowering individuals with the skills needed for a successful career in tech. Beyond YouTube, he actively shares insights and tips on coding, AI, and tech career development across various social media channels with 2+ million total followers.
Ahmad Awais is an award-winning open-source engineering leader, founder & CEO of ⌘ Langbase.com. Ex VP of DX and Google Developers Advisory Board founding member. His software serves millions of developers. The code he wrote went to Mars. “What an awesome example for developers,” said Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft — featuring Awais’s code contribution to the NASA Ingenuity Mars mission. He’s a Google Devs Expert and 4x recipient of the 8th GitHub Stars Gold award.
YK will be presenting on "Introduction to Custom GPTs and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)" and Ahmad on "Computing Primitive in LLM Space | Building your custom AI models". So feel free to bring your laptops to follow along or take notes!

Prior to the event, you will be added to a private Discord group so that you can have a chance to introduce yourself and potentially setup meetings for the event. Come event time, you should expect a warm crowd and some familiar faces! The discord community also serves as a persistent avenue of valuable resources and connections for all things A.I. in Vancouver, beyond the termination of the event.
Event Format
The goal of the event is to inspire collaboration between like-minded individuals, so the format will be a little unorthodox.
Presentation lectures: panelists will each give a presentation on their domain of expertise related to A.I.
Panel Discussion: a diverse set of speakers from different backgrounds will share their insights on various topics, while the audience also participates
Open Floor: attendees will have a chance to roam around the room and speak to other individuals
Post-Event: event follow-ups will be posted on a dedicated Discord event channel, including photos and any other media
