💃🏼🕺🏻 Who Is This Event For
This is a co-ed event for folks in Seattle age 26-35. Anyone can participate! We aim to help people create dynamic friendships with men and women alike.
Singles: We’ve got options for you - “single and ready to mingle” or “just looking to make friends”. If you’re attending the event with a friend, please let us know when filling out the event form.
Couples: we certainly encourage couples to join the event, but in the spirit of helping folks make friends, consider bringing a single friend with you (bonus points). While ticket purchases need to be completed individually, when signing up, be sure to include the name of the person(s) you are coming with.
Registration: If registration is closed or waitlisted and you are in a couple or attending with a friend, we will do our best to accept you both - however, this is not a guarantee (human errors happen).
Teams: teams will consist of 5-6 players and be made up of men and women.
‼️ We want to do our best to ensure that this event is a somewhat equal ratio of men and women so Registration is limited by Required Approval and the event is being capped at 50 people. If you are waitlisted or not approved for the event, you will be contacted directly and refunded fully.
WAITLIST: As people cancel their registration & update their RSVP, you may have an opportunity to be added to the event so don't lose hope!
We recognize that this event is hosted at a bar but we ensure you there are Non-Alcoholic options available for folks who don't drink. Please don't let your lifestyle deter your attendance.

💵 What Your Ticket Cost Goes Toward
Space Rental
Prizes & Goodies
Compensating Participating Vendors
Event Supplies & Equipment
We love free too, but this event has some associated costs so we are charging a ticket price to ensure we are financially covered to bring you an awesome event - not for profit. If cost is an issue for you, we hope to see you at one of our many free community events another time!
🚨 DISCLAIMERS
Liability: By participating in this event you understand that hosts and venues are not held liable for any injury or damage to property.
Media Release: By participating in this event you understand that any pictures and videos acquired during the scavenger hunt or taken during the duration of the event can be used at the hosts’ discretion.
General Public: You will use your best judgment to determine who in the general public is best to approach and engage with for specific tasks. Please be mindful of the community we are in. Act like an adult.
Respect: You will be respectful of all businesses and persons in the area, whether they are involved in the event or not. You will be paired with strangers. The goal is to make vibrant and dynamic friendships from these types of events but ultimately we realize not everyone is gonna be your best friend. Strap on a good attitude and be kind, considerate, appreciative, and engaging with your team and others throughout the whole experience. Bad attitudes lose you points.
Accessibility: Walking is required. You will have to go up and down stairs and/or hills. Your ability to do these things is necessary for participation. Please consider health and wellbeing when signing up.
Additional Costs: Some tasks may involve additional costs - these are not a requirement to participate and your team still has a chance to win without making a single purchase. We DO want to encourage patronage during these events so we are not simply disrupting businesses, however we were also mindful of ensuring purchases would be around $5-10 or less. You get to keep whatever you purchase.
Communication: You MUST have WhatsApp downloaded and your name listed with your phone number prior to the event. This will be vital for communicating during the event. Additionally, advance communication for changes in attendance is necessary for a successful event. Ticket refund timeline and policy is listed below.
✅ THE RULES
We want all players to be fully versed in the rules of the hunt prior to attending to help maximize knowledge, strategy, and overall fun while you play so we’ve included them here in the event description. Please understand that the rules are subject to change but will be communicated via email in advance and confirmed via the document you receive the day of the event.
Participation: Your entire team must stay together and participate in each task in order to receive points. This includes being documented in all team photographs.
WhatsApp Participation: You MUST have WhatsApp downloaded in advance of the scavenger hunt. Once your team members have checked in, we will add you to 2 group chats: a Team-specific chat and an All-Event chat - both that include the hosts (Maddie and Nicole).
Team-Only Chat: In order to submit your tasks for consideration, you must message in the team-specific group chat a picture of your completed task WITH the corresponding task title/caption.
All-Event Chat: There will be tasks that may pop up throughout the event that are excluded from this document via the All-Event group chat. These tasks will be timed and points will be awarded in value based on order of submission. You submit these tasks to the All-Event Chat for visibility.
Timeliness: Teams will get points based on the order of which they return to the venue. Any teams that arrive back to the venue after 5:30 PM will lose points.
PLEASE NOTE: some participating businesses may close PRIOR to the scavenger hunt’s conclusion. It is recommended to take time to strategize prior to setting off in order to ensure time-related success.
Roles: Each team member will be assigned a specific role. You must submit the name of the team member and their corresponding role to the hosts via your Team-Only group chat prior to the start of the event. Roles will be determined and announced closer to the event
THE STRATEGY:
You can accomplish the tasks in any order as long as your team remains together for the entirety of the event. Be warned - Some tasks have mystery points - you won’t know if they’re high value or low value until the end of the event.
Some tasks will be clearly labeled whereas others you'll need to solve a riddle or puzzle first.
Tasks are divided into [7] categories and are determined by [2] core actions:
CATEGORIES:
Tourist: very Seattle-esque tasks
Treat: food and goods based tasks
Transit: may involve Seattle’s public transportation options
Talk: tasks that get you engaged with other people or teams
Tradition: it's the holiday season after all…
Team: easier level tasks that your team can do individually
Timed: these are more intense tasks that are time-dependent (whether a set time or a beat the clock challenge). Some are listed in your tasks whereas some of these will be sent as a blast in the All-Event group chat at various times throughout the hunt.
CORE ACTIONS:
📸 Capture: These tasks only require you to send in a photo/video for proof
🐥 Collect: These tasks will require you to collect something, purchase something, or exchange something with another person, team, or vendor
🎟️ RSVPing, Communication & Tickets
Event reminders will be sent out the week of the event and the day of the event with sign-in instructions. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL.
Please confirm your RSVP via Luma and contact the hosts if any issues arise.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS: Tickets are fully refundable from 10/15-11/15. From 11/16-12/15, tickets will be refunded with a $7 service fee deducted. After that, tickets are non-refundable. If you are no longer able to attend, we recommend contacting the hosts so they can help reallocate your spot.
This is a TEAM game, so please consider how no-showing may affect others. Do your part - update your RSVP in advance of the event.
Since this event is capped and approval to join is required, please be considerate of those who want to attend and are potentially on the waitlist and ensure you intend on coming/participating when registering!
🌸 About Your Hosts
Maddie Cooper (@maddscooper): Delightfully known as "Maddie [the baddie] from Cincinnati", Maddie is a nap enthusiast, sports girly (lover of F1 and Bengals die-hard primarily), T-Rex race world champion (well sorta, okay, participant), and current Club Cascadia co-leader. She enjoys long walks just about anywhere, a crispy & marinated Diet Coke, and laughing til her stomach hurts. Maddie has been in Seattle for almost 3 years & is obsessed with living by the water, the iconic skyline, and Mount Rainier days. Three Maddie Emojis: 🪩💥🦖
Nicole Piggott (@ndpiggott & @ndpiggottart): Resident badass, Nicole is an artist, dog mom (s/o to Sige), and tattooed sassy lady. She’s lived in Seattle for a decade and enjoys swimming (one season), board sports (most seasons), and traveling almost anywhere. Nicole might be known for having her head in a book (avg. 120 books/year...yeah), however she's also a social queen with a killer record collection. Nicole is known for singlehandedly helping the women of Club Cascadia enter their sports girlies era. Three Nicole Emojis: 📚🖌️✨
Maddie & Nicole met through Club Cascadia & Seattle Swim Club and have bonded over good music, good vibes, and good people. Both have a mutual heart for hosting dynamic friendships in their own lives and helping foster friendships form for others.
Club Cascadia is a women's social club designed to help foster vibrant friendships in the name of girlhood. The community is planted on the value of uplifting women and supporting minority owned businesses. Follow us on Instagram & sign up for our newsletter for more information.
Although Club Cascadia is for the girls but sometimes we do events for the girls, gays, theys, and sirs because inclusivity is FUN. Follow our Luma Calendar to stay up to date on other events and opportunities!
🚙 Parking & Recommendations
Friendly notice that the market is still open to the public during the event and parking can be challenging. Westlake Center is home of both the Monorail & Light Rail Link 1Line and is just a block away. We recommend giving yourself additional time and considerations to find parking or take public transport into the area.
